Shaping Lives, Sharing Faith, and Spreading God's Love

United Methodist Women

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
Funeral Lunches are organized by the Funeral Dinner Coordinator and are provided according to the following:
Families are offered the opportunity for the unit to provide a lunch.  The Coordinator will meet with the family to make arrangements.  The cost of sandwiches and paper products will be covered by the family. All other food is donated by members of the church.  Any additional donations are used to accomplish UMW mission work. Volunteers are recruited to prepare, serve, and clean up.  To inquire about a funeral lunch, please call the church office at (248) 627-3125.

The unit sponsors a Mother Daughter Banquet every other year and assists with the Quilt Show on alternate years.
